Licensing is an important part of EVA’s strategy. Consequently, the business base was broadened with the acquisition of 50,96% of atlas international Film GmbH in 2007. atlas acquires and licenses filmed entertainment rights all over the world, across all media environments: home entertainment, mobile entertainment and public entertainment. With its subsidiary atlas, EVA has a strong in-house force for international licensing. Today’s catalogue represents content of more than 120 producers (among them CONSTANTIN FILM) with some 600 German and international titles from all genres, featuring an impressive array of talent. Blockbuster feature films, exciting TV movies, entertaining series, amazing documentaries, spectacular music concerts or high quality programs for children are available for licensing throughout the world. The atlas portfolio ranges from director driven classics such as Jerzy Kawalerowicz’s Oscar nominated PHARAOH (produced in 1966), Paul Verhoeven’s Oscar nominated Turkish Delight or his Golden Globe nominated Survival Run, Wes Craven’s Horror classic THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT or John Woo’s A BETTER TOMORROW to successful contemporary German films like DER BEWEGTE MANN, DAS SUPERWEIB or current productions of Constantin Film such as FRECHE MÄDCHEN and WARUM MÄNNER NICHT ZUHÖREN UND FRAUEN SCHLECHT EINPARKEN. EVA’s subsidiaries atlas and DUO cooperate very closely with EVA’s production division, EvaApollo Media GmbH, sharing knowledge on market developments, customer needs and client- as well as product performance. With its outstanding customer access and long-term experience, atlas and DUO act an effective filter for EvaApollo when it comes to identifying the right production investments. Furthermore, atlas provides EVA with a knowledgeable in-house partner when it comes to the critical evaluation of library buy-outs. This combination enables the reduction of risks of EVA’s further growth strategy. atlas represents over 40 years of successful international sales activities as well as more than 80 years of running a successful family business as exhibitors and owners of a video brand in Germany and contributes to EVA’s growth strategy with its outstanding professionalism, reliability and profound market access. |
