A superlative event launches the new “GOLDEN POP” generation Music history was written in the eighties and they are now making a huge comeback.“GOLDEN POP” is a super-star showcase, bridging the span between the greatest hits of the last millennium and today’s digital world. “GOLDEN POP” will be a glamorous prelude to a series of concerts at the “Maison Folie” in Lille / France on 3 April 2008, celebrating a revival of one of the most successful eras of rock and pop music history.
In the first show, “The New Romantics” Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet „Gold“, „True“), ABC („Look of Love“), GoWest (“We Close Our Eyes”), Carol Decker (T’Pau „China In Your Hands”), Visage („Fade to Grey“) and Bananarama („Cruel Summer“) will perform their biggest worldwide hits live with a 12-member band. To realize this series of concerts, the German media company Entertainment Value Associates GmbH (EVA) has put together an extraordinary team, consisting of French production firm Ratatam, the French event organizer A Gauche De la Lune, the British artist management firm Blueprint, the German producer Media House 4 and the Swiss media consultant 360 Grad Management. At the same time, the April premiere will lay the foundation for a new Internet Community. For the first time, fans of the pop era will be able to interconnect in a unique virtual Community under: www.golden-pop.com. “We are very proud to present the “GOLDEN POP“ project. As in our core business, motion pictures, good music is timeless and inspires every generation. There is a global fan community which associates many memories with music. Music lovers all over the globe will be able to share their individual history and information through the Internet platform provided by us” commented Kai Grüneke, Managing Director of EVA, on his latest project. The huge worldwide fan community will have access to the concerts both through TV broadcasts and high-quality concert DVDs, which in addition to the unique live show will also feature exclusive bonus material. On top of that, we are working on a digital download offer, on mobile TV, video on demand, IPTV and Cinema Broadcast.
