Consequently, the business base was broadened with the acquisition of 50,96% of atlas international Film GmbH in 2007 and with the acquisition of 50,00% of DUO Entertainment Vertriebs GmbH in July 2008. atlas acquires and licenses filmed entertainment rights all over the world, across all media environments: home entertainment, mobile entertainment and public entertainment. With its subsidiary atlas, EVA has a strong in-house force for international licensing. Today’s catalogue represents content of more than 120 producers (among them CONSTANTIN FILM) with some 600 German and international titles from all genres, featuring an impressive array of talent. Blockbuster feature films, exciting TV movies, entertaining series, amazing documentaries, spectacular music concerts or high quality programs for children are available for licensing throughout the world. The atlas portfolio ranges from director driven classics such as Jerzy Kawalerowicz’s Oscar nominated PHARAOH (produced in 1966), Paul Verhoeven’s Oscar nominated Turkish Delight or his Golden Globe nominated Survival Run, Wes Craven’s Horror classic THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT or John Woo’s A BETTER TOMORROW to successful contemporary German films like DER BEWEGTE MANN, DAS SUPERWEIB or current productions of Constantin Film such as FRECHE MÄDCHEN and WARUM MÄNNER NICHT ZUHÖREN UND FRAUEN SCHLECHT EINPARKEN. DUO Entertainment Vertriebs GmbH also licenses and distributes high quality film and TV rights all over the world. The portfolio includes Academy Award winning motion picture “CRASH” as well as the worldwide successful American youth series ”Zoey 101” and “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide”. With the acquisition of DUO, EVA not only complements its library with the rights of 23 high quality film titles, but DUO also provides a strategic access to the entertainment industry in North America with its office in Los Angeles. DUO’s licensing activities will be integrated successively into atlas’ business. EVA’s subsidiaries atlas and DUO cooperate very closely with EVA’s production division, EvaApollo Media GmbH, sharing knowledge on market developments, customer and client needs as well as product performance.
