„Scorpion King 2 – Rise of a Warrior“ and „Starship Troopers 3 - Marauder“

EVA’s affiliate ‘EvaApollo Media GmbH’ is specialized in international coproduction and operated the South African-German co-productions „Scorpion King 2“ und „Starship Troopers 3: Marauder“ through its subsidiary ‘ApolloMovie Beteiligungs GmbH'.

 

„Scorpion King 2 – Rise of a Warrior “ is the prequel to „The Scorpion King“, one of the most successful films of the year on the US-Market in 2002. On August, 28th the DVD was brought to the German market. The movie will be presented with English and German language versions in Dolby Digital 5.1.

 

Director Russell Mulcahy ("Highlander", "Resident Evil: Extinction") draws up the exciting prehistory of a young and unbending man in imaginative ways and with thrilling special effects. Bravery, muscles and magic transform him into the most feared warrior of the ancient world - the legendary Scorpion King.

The US-American Science-Fiction movie „Starship Troopers 3 – Marauder“ is the third installment to „Starship Troopers“ and the DVD will be released in Germany on October, 16th 2008 (rental release September, 18th). The movie will be presented with English and German language versions in Dolby Digital 5.1 as DVD, High Definition Blu-ray Disc™ and UMD medium for the Sony PlayStation Portable.

“Colonel Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien), hero of Planet P, finds himself battling bugs, new and old, on the federation frontier planet known as Roku San. When Roku San falls to the arachnid scourge in a high pitched, action packed battle, Colonel Rico finds himself sentenced to death for acts of insubordination. But with the future of the federation and the life of his good friend (Jolene Blalock) lying in the balance, Col. Rico is freed from jail and charged with taking the fight to the bugs using the highly advanced weapons system known as Marauder. Using the new technology, Rico and his crack squad defeat the arachnids on the distant planet know only as OM-1 and, in turn, help save his fellow soldiers from death at the hands a treasonous element operating within the federation itself.”

German leading Home Entertainment magazine ‘Video Woche’ states: „Detailed butchery and convincing CGI-effects with an inventive story and black satire in luscious colors and gorgeous settings. This quality is likely to get around.“
